All fruit is not created equal. That's why Durand-Wayland developed the Vista Blemish Grader. By using state of the art digital cameras to view 100 percent of the fruit's surface, Vista can identify even the smallest blemishes and imperfections. Vista allows for consistent grading standards that cannot be accomplished through manual grading. That means reduced grading costs for you.

As fruit moves under the enclosed cameras, Vista provides a three-dimensional analysis that shows and records any surface blemishes. Vista 's camera system includes four cameras, two color cameras for detecting color and color related blemishes and two near infrared (NIR) cameras for detecting blemishes normally not seen by a color camera. The operator can sort fruit into different grades based on the following criteria: Weight, color, diameter, shape, frost damage, light scar, dark scar, wind scar, stem size, navel size and greasy spot. The level at which the cameras detect these characteristics can easily be adjusted by simply changing the percentages on screen.

Vista combines advanced technology with practical use. It offers a sophisticated and dependable system, along with the practicality of easy use and maintenance. Whether it's the Vista Blemish Grader or any of our other packing house equipment, you can count on Durand-Wayland for world-class products and service.
