Tray Packing tray packing image

The tray packer is a conveyor that is completely and continuously full of empty trays. The trays are placed on conveyor at the idle end by personnel. The tray conveyor is variable in speed which is adjusted by an operator. The speed is determined by volume of fruit needed to be packed. As empty pockets in trays pass under the end of chute, the fruit which has accumulated on this chute gently rolls into the empty tray pockets. After the tray has been filled the fruit is positioned in tray pockets and inspected by personnel stationed along tray packer. Any damaged or cull fruit is removed and placed on a cull belt located between Tray Packer. As the tray reaches the end of the conveyor it is conveyed of into a tray shelf. The tray is removed by the packer and placed into cartons which are located underneath and at the end of the tray shelf.
