I am very pleased to announce that Nick Lenger will join Durand-Wayland as Northern Territory Sales Manager – Packinghouse on April 13, 2015. Nick will report to Mark Adamczyk.
Nick has over a decade of experience in packinghouse machinery sales, service and electronics with Lakewood Process Machinery. Lakewood specialized in the smaller commodities markets, which included mostly blueberries and grape/cherry tomatoes. His most recent areas of expertise were with blueberries and grape/cherry tomatoes in Michigan, North and South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. He was the lead technical person, with influence on the mechanical design of the most recent version of the Lakewood fill-by-weight high-speed clamshell filler. Nick has experience with the entire process, from Manufacturing to Sales. He started at Lakewood out of high school as a fabricator, he continued to work his way through the shop as a machinist, assembler, service and controls technician and eventually landed in Sales.
His primary coverage area will be Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, New York and the rest of the New England states. There will be certain customers in the assigned area that will transfer at a slower rate from Ron Shrum to Nick and will be discussed later.
Nick can be reached at the following:
Please join me in welcoming Nick to the team as we take the next step in our journey toward being the number one equipment supplier in the produce commodity spaces we serve.
