Required Skills/Qualifications	This position requires a minimum of 36 months Purchasing work experience at a manufacturing company. Must be computer proficient, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications	Work experience with AS400 Jobscope MRP System is a plus.
Job Duties & Related Information	The Purchasing/Buyer compiles information and records to prepare Purchase Orders for procurement of materials, equipment, parts, supplies, and tools for a manufacturing company. Reviews requisitions. Consults catalogs and confers with vendors to obtain product information and delivery schedule. Estimates values according to knowledge of market price. Prepares Purchase Orders or Bid Requests. Discusses unacceptable goods with vendors and others, and confers with suppliers concerning late deliveries. Will perform other related duties as assigned. This job requires articulate candidate with good written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to be assertive and to multi-task.
